Eat your way to a healthy heart and waistline
Today's quick tip to eat your way to a healthy heart, cholesterol level, and waistline:
- shrink the size of your meals. - eat vegetables every meal. - eat at least one fruit everyday. - avoid deep fried foods. - eat protein that is lower in fat, e.g. Skinless chicken, soya, legumes, fish. - take it easy on the salt, do not sprinkle extra salt on your food.
- if you can't go without snacks or treats, have one snack a day, and
keep it healthy. Avoid chips, cream crackers and sweets, rather choose
nuts, dark chocolate and digestive biscuits.
